Im not much for the shifter placement on them. Too high, i like the lower console placement more, on the 4th 5th and 6thgens.

the shiofter is no different than the old school shifters I had a 96 dx before this and it didnt really take that much to get used to.. before I got done with the test drive I was ok with it.

the new hatches have the newer headlights, tailights and they come with 5 lug.

the heavier weight is due to the actual rigidity of the car, i guess its structure the car itself feels very solid, not like my sedan or other civics I have been in.

the engine does leave a lot to wish for but still this engine has a nice umph to it, there are people running 13-14 on all-motor(I think), but they have extensive custom work done to the car and for a car that heavy IMO its a very nice 1/4 mile time.

A lot of people hate on it, but most of the owners are already used to that.

ha ha soo true.
it would have been kick ass on the previous version of the SI(99-00)

the tails are just going with whatever it is that they think its trendy... and of course leave it to the automotive technology to stay about 2-3-4 years behind what is cool.

Sounds like a million conversations I've had with the old lady.
