Default Newbie warranty question?

Hello fellow Honda owners, just purchased a 2003 Civic LX today it has 40,000 kms (yes, I am living in the Great White North). When dealing with the salesman today he said that the 3 yr/ bumper to bumper was over but that the car still had powertrain warranty. The sales manager also mentioned time left on the warranty. I just assunmed that it was 3 yr/ bumper to bumper and 5 year/ power train as that is most common. When I got home I was looking on the net and a couple different sites (not Honda) listed 3 yr for both bumper to bumper and power train meaning that this car has no warranty left. The web sites were American so I don't know if it would be different in Canada? Will call tomorrow but would sleep better if someone had some good news.

Thanks.

It's probably different between countries. Call the dealer to find out.

Or go on honda.com and you can register your honda. You need the VIN to do it and it may tell you the warranty info.

if your dealer said it and gave it to you in writing, then you would have some warranty left
