Hey,
I hope someone can help with this. I've got an '01 lx coupe man.trans. 107k recently, at speeds of 40mph and above the car has been making a rotary sort of noise(similar to u-joints on rear wheel drive vehicle going bad). The noise is relative to road speed only, not engine revs. and is louder while accelerating and decelarating. Noise seems to be coming from front of the vehicle. Is this noise likely to be cv or axle/drive shaft related? Boots are all intact and with only 107k seems a little early to me. Any other possibilities and easy ways to determine absolutely that problem is or is not cvs or other? thanx |
