I just picked up my civic yesterday. Its a 2004 LX with 46,000 miles. I live in upstate NY and paid a little over $14,000 for it. Not the best deal in the world but civics go for a good coin around here, I am happy with it so far. This is my second Honda if you count my TRX450R. I have always been a mopar owner my other vehicle is a Jeep grand Cherokee with 2" lift and 30" tires. Not great on gas mileage as you can imagine that is why I bought the Civic, I will be saving $100 a week in gas.
I have read through some of the FAQS, and did some searching. Is there anything you can suggest to me as a first time Civic owner. Anything that should be serviced, watched out for, or upgraded? I have a 60 day warranty so if something is going to g wrong hopefully it will happen in the next 60 days. My first question is a dumb one but I think the deal ship over filled my oil by A LOT! I assume the oil is checked like any other car, level ground, motor off and cool, the bottom dot/hole is the oil low mark and the top dot/hole is the high mark. Well the oil lever extends almost an inch over the top dot/hole, do you think this will cause any problems. |

I'd take it back to the dealer and have the problem fixed. Sounds like they added an extra quart.

ya take it back, shouldnt be that much of a problem unless its way over filled, but they should fix it for free, so why not
