i just acquried a 02 lx coupe recently and have noticed that the AC light never turns off. Well, it turns off when the fan is off. I tried listening to the motor and feeling/smelling the air, and what I found is that my AC is always on. Anyone got any advice?

What position is the knob that controls the vents. If you have it on or partially on defrost, the AC will automatically come on. If you have it turned to the dashboard vents and/or to the floor vents, you should be able to turn the AC off.

By the way...there is a procedure you can employ which will allow you to turn the A/C on and off manually, no matter what position the vent knob is in. If interested, PM me and I'll be happy to post it on this board.
