Does anyone know how to set the remote so it chirps the horn
when you lock the doors on a 04 Civic? I can chnge it on my 98 Civic by holding the remote buttons so it is either quiet or chirps the horn. But I can't get my 04 Civic to chirp when I lock it. ![]() |

On my 05, you have to hit the lock button twice for it to chirp.

I've done a search here and on other forums, and have looked through my 04 owner's manual from front to back and can find nothing that will help, except as eXploit has said: If you press the lock button once the doors will lock and the lights will flash. If you depress the lock button a second time, the horn will sound. Most times, drivers are looking for ways to turn the horn off....so I think this is Honda's way of solving the problem. In other words...you can have you cake and eat it too.

Thanks for checking.
So far I haven't been able to make it chirp trying everything. I'm now believing it's designed to be silent ![]() |
