I have a 2004 Civic LX and I was wondering what are the cheapest things I could do to my car to increase the acceleration or top speed. Now, I realize that nothing is going to be insanely cheap but if you guys could just suggest some upgrades that are worth getting.

cheapest would be spark plugs and wires, not gonna do much but intake and exhaust would most likely what you should look at. Unless your going to spend lots of money on you engine for an N/A build (and i mean lots since its an LX), turbo, supercharge, or engine swap would be the best way to get lots of power

A) 7th gen civics dont have spark plug wires, they have coils.
B) D17 does really poorly with na builds regardless if is LX or EX. C) They dont make superchargers for the 7th gen civics except the EP3 Cheap mods would be basic bolt ons, Intake, Header, Exhaust. On the D17 engine you'll be looking around a 5HP gain. If you want power swap, turbo or nitrous are your only ways to go.
