Default 04 civic missing in the third cylinder

I was just told at Honda that I have worn out the bearing on the crank and this only happens to 5 speed manuals. I find this wierd that i can wear out the bearing on the crank before I wear out my clutch. I have 162000 on my CIvic but was shooting for 300000. Have any of you had or heard about this problem?
