i test drove the new Si today. it's good. i don't have a lot to compare it to, but they had a short autocross course set up with a slalom section, and it felt very solid. the LSD is nice. my only complaint is that the brakes were really grabby, but it was a pre-production test mule whose sole purpose was to get beat on by the public, so that's not really honda's fault. otherwise, it looks good in person, the interior has a lot of plastic but is otherwise very badass, the seats rock, etc. it's the 2nd best civic ever IMO (after the 4th gen).
i also drove a V6 6 speed accord, which may have been a bit more powerful but handled far worse, the ridgeline (p.o.s.), and my wife flogged the accord hybrid around the course. i won a 1:18 scale super street/hot wheels civic, and we're still waiting to find out that we didn't win a real civic. if you have any questions about it, lemme know.

it looks real good in person. i like the sedan too, but it's got a corolla/new jetta look to it. the coupe is much better... "universally likeable," i'd say. nothing flashy, but just a generally nicely shaped and proportioned car.

The car IMO is butt ugly, however the interior is sooo sweet.
