Thumbs up

Ok, now that all the hype is over with and there has been some time since the release of the 2006 Civic Si. In your opinion is it the best Si ever. Technically and mechanically it is the best performing, but as a whole in style, function, looks and in regards to advancement during the period of which it was released, which is the best Si ever.

Vote in the Poll. And let us know what you think? (CRX and Del Sol added as well as they were Civic Models)

The new Si is overhyped.

It is the perfect starter ricer car for that kid that has parents with money that will buy it for them, just so they can say they have a new Civic Si.
It is too heavy, has ABS and powersteering( LOL) and too far from the roots of what the Si really started out as.

Old school 4 life!

Agreed, but I am a sucker for the 99-00 Si.

I don't like EF's too much, they are just getting too dated for my taste. As far as the new SI, I like it, but I would like it more if it had an Accord badge on it, the new Civics are just too big for my taste.

Yeah, it tends to blow when Honda releases an SiR in Japan, and he we seem to get the leftovers. I think it would be a good idea for Honda to actually make a Sportier Accord with the Si badge here. Perhaps upgraded engine, interior, wheels, etc. With the high sales of the Accord, I highly doubt they would have trouble moving them or being profitable.
My 2 cents..

The new civic SI is too bulky and it has grown up too much.
What happend to fun, small sporty cars like the Crx.

The Fit will soon be the new favorite.

Wow... I'm surprised by everyone's responses. If you actually test drive the SI, you'll be more than impressed. The layout is phenominal. The interior is better built than any civic/integra I've ever been in (new or used and dynomatted). The steering wheel is smaller for more of a race car feel. The speedo is up top so you don't take your eyes off the road to see your speed. The seats are recaro based (much like the 02-05's). The suspension is better than any integra/rsx/civic made. Has more than 160hp! 6 speed manual. Factory 17's with 18's as an option (and not crazy heavy like I thought). Optional Nav. Seriously, this car is more everything than any other SI they've ever come out with. Let's get out of the 15-20 year old shoe boxes and move into something with curves, style and performance.
