Diy: Side Marker Install ('91 Crx) Picture Heavy

Cory and I installed the side markers in the CRX, so here is our DIY:

We installed the side markers on the CRX, but this is a general method and could be applied to any Honda.

STEP 1: We measured the side marker and made a template out of a manilla folder. The measurements were 2 1/4" long x 7/8" wide. NOTE: The template is a rough estimate, you will need to cut extra room for the side marker to fit correctly. Cut small; you can always take out, but you cannot put back!

STEP 2: We used masking tape to tape off where the hole needs to be cut.
We decided the top center of the wheel well and the top of the side marker should be level with one another and the front of the side marker should be aligned with the fenderwell side beginning at the bottom of the trim. SEE PICTURES





STEP 3: We used a Dremmel to cut the hole.

We then moved on to the drivers side:

JDM corner lights and side marker installed! We wired this one up and it works fine!


Each side took about an hour. It is something that can be done in an afternoon, but I don't recommend you rush it. Remember you can always take some metal off, but you can't add it, so test fitting the piece often is in your best interest. So with that said We found it was best to cut the hole smaller than we knew we'd need. We really went by the "trial and error" method. It was also easier to cut the fender still on the car.
