Greddy Turbo Timer Install
----------------

----------------

Although Greddy's turbo timer is fairly simple to install, wiring it to the ignition can be a little tricky. So, being the informative guy that I am, I decided to write a small "how to" to help anyone that may have a problem with it. One of the biggest issues with turbo timers, is it's compatibility with aftermarket car alarms.

I was able to wire Greddy's turbo timer into my brother's '95 Acura Integra in a way that would allow an alarm to function normally.

Since most of the installation is straightforward, I'm just going to discuss the wiring.

They say, "a picture is worth 1000 words"

Here's a bigger picture with more detail.

The effect of this wiring configuration keeps the engine running, instrument cluster active and power accessories active. The radio and other similar accessories are not controlled by the timer. With this configuration, if your alarm installer uses the signal wire from the radio, the alarm will think that the car is off and act normally. I would suggest avoiding setting the alarm sensitivity too high.

This wiring is good for any 5th and 6th gen civic as well as any 3rd gen integra
