I have a quick question to ask. Would 88 crx si seats fit into a 90 civic cx? I think that they will but I am not too sure. Please let me know cause I am about to buy them and I just wanted to make sure that they will.
thanks guys/girls |

I'm 95% sure that the floor under the seating area was the same on both model cars that you're talking about.
you should be able to do a bolt in swap. If anything, the tracks could be slightly different so you may have to build a bracket. No biggie. I threw some Nissan 240 sx buckets in my Nissan HardBody and they lined up almost the same. Good luck, there pretty nice seats! Sam - |

90 CX or CRX? I know for a fact that the 88 CRX Si had a different bolt pattern on the floor pan for the seat bracket than the 89-91 CRX Si. One of my friends tried to use my 89 bracket in his 88, and it didn't match up. Honda changed quite a few things between the 88 and 89 model years.

I have a 90 cx and the seats that I am interested in buying are from a 88 CRX si. I heard that they should just bolts right in but I just wanted to make sure. Rather have them fit like a glove then too change things around. but if need be then i will.

If you use your old brackets, they'll probably bolt up just fine. Just don't try to use the 88 bracket on your 90 floorpan. It won't work.

I have never heard of a Cx for '90? I thought the only models avail were the Std.,Dx,and the Si.

Whoa... super dead thread resurrection!
I think the CX trim level was available in the 88-91 Civics outside of the US. Either way, it doesn't matter. The floor pans are the same regardless of trim level. It's the year of the chassis that matters. If anyone else posts in this thread, Nicolas Cage will shoot them. |
