Default can i use a d16z6

i have a 89 sedan. i want to put a sohc vtec motor in it. i have a d16z6 complete intake engine harness. my d15 is dpfi. the new motor is mpfi. i'm going to keep my 5 speed tranny in it.i am being told by some friends. that a computer from a 92 will plug right in place of my stock one. and that the new engine harness will plug right in place of my stock one as well. they also said that i really shouldn 't need to wire anything seperate cause the injector wires and vtec should already be there stock beacuse they had that option for a 1.5 vtec motor in that year. i really need some more advice. thank you

no, your going to need an 88-91 hf/si engine harness, a conversion harness to make an obd1 ecu plug into the obd0 harness in your car, and also gonna have to do the wiring for vtec.

well i've been doing alot of researching and have come to think i have figured it out. i'm being told by boomslang that i can buy the obd0 to obd1 conversion harness with the extra jumper of o2 sensor vtec...... but i will need to keep my stock harness for plugs and thats it. no resistor box because i'm running obd1 injectors and i guess you don't need the box with those because there high impedance or something like that. i sounds like i will be doing a little bit of splicing though. anyways thanks for the info. does this sound right to you???
