Some parts need replacing including the springs, shock absorbers, muffler and i wanted to know if anyone could recommend what brands and models to get? also is there somewhere online i could get the parts? also the cruise control is broken and i was wondering if anyone knew how hard and expensive that is to get fixed and the a/c doesnt get cold is that easy to get fixed or fix?

What exactly are you wanting to do with this civic? I drive a 91 so I've looked all around and found a ton of good deals. I personaly like remus exhaust. Also OptionImports.com - #1 source for performance clutch, intake, suspension, exhaust AEM Apexi Greddy HKS Exedy Injen Tein Tanabe has awesome deals on all suspension. I can't wait to see what it looks like when you get it done.

whats your budget, greddy and hks make quality exhausts. as far as suspension it really depends on your budget and what you do with your car, dding, autox, drag?

Are you sure you need springs? Or just strut cartridges? You need new springs if you are going to change the car's ride/handling balance. If the dampers are gone, and you want to keep the stock ride, just buy strut cartridges. Stick with the Japanese brands (Tokico, KYB, etc.) as they are OEM suppliers.

As to the cruise, check the fuse/circuit breaker first. Also, the cruise will not engage if the brake system warning light is on for any reason.

Your A/C likely uses the old R12 refrigerant. It is out of production, but there is a new product that supposedly replaces it. Here are some links:

Amazon.com: freeze 12: Automotive (on-line ordering)

Sherco Auto Supply (retailer, also Schuck's/Kragen CSK Auto, etc. have it)

freeze-12, Parts Accessories - buy and sell on eBay Motors (eBay - what's left to say?)
