One of my buddies here got some problem with his distributor. He says the distributor he has right now is the wrong one, so he cannot adjust his timing far enough to have it timed correctly.
Tell me, new distributor the only remedy??

im having problem with distributors also. all i can say is get a new, and make sure its the right one.

im having problems finding the right one for my car. im on my second one right now, an ls distributor. everyone tells me it wont fit right but i havent had a chance to go and check cuz its raining. good luck man, i know i need it.

can't do a job without the right parts. Well you can, but if you want a successful outcome then you need the right parts.

hey, cynosurecivic, have you check rockauto.com?

if you have not swapped engine, then they ahve the right one.. i think.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA I just replaced my distributer in February and we went through 5 distributors before we got the right 1!! SO yeah it sucked my car was down for a week and a half

which motor/ head combo does he have?

if you have a z6 head you need a z1 or z6 dizzy
y8 heads pretty much any but the 2 listed above will fit with slight mods. otherwise use same obd family as ecu

b-family you should use the same as head but same yr as ecu
