Is It Worth It?

I got a 93' civic ex coupe. I was wondering if the engine was worth tuning. It's completely stock as of right now except for exhaust and straight pipe. It has a D16Z6 engine. Sounds good but i dont know shit about imports since this is my first one. Any upgrade ideas would be greatly appreciated. I got 2000 as of right now to throw into it. Hit me up with ideas

It isn't worth putting money in the tuning yet. I would start off with suspencion mods (springs, struts, camber kit.) You can also do a pieced together turbo kit and make decent power. If you aren't looking for much power, but want more, you can do a mild cam and then have your car tuned.

What im asking is will the d16z6 put out alot of power if i throw in some aftermarket stuff

Without forced induction or internal engine parts it is a pretty slow motor unless if your car is extremely light and if you have 12s in your car, it isn't. Bolt ons will make it feel faster and sound the part, but only gain less than 10 hp.
