So i was racing to go see some chik that i work with when all the sudden i hear a crazy sound coming from the engine's direction. 5 seconds later i see the fender wheel well cover fly straight out the back of my car. I just got the AEM V2 intake and that bitch is bad. Great sound and well obviously sucks in alot of air cuz if it weren't in the filter my cover woulda been vacuumed in lol. Now i got a problem... today it rained and it totally passed my mind that the filter is visible cuz its no longer covered. Long story short ran into a big puddy guess the air filter got soaked and now my car wont gun like it used to. It turned off 4 times couldnt take it past 4000 rpms. Should i wait till it dries or drive like an old man . Is the a quick way to get it running again. I need some help and i start school tomorrow i need to know by today in case i gotta get something fixed

man, lucky water didn't get into the motor, you coulda hydrolocked it and been SOL. well, you could let the filter dry out. just pull it off the intake tube and let it sit overnight in your house by a fan or something. that way it dries completely, and you don't get any more droplets of water in your motor. and definately get a new fenderwell liner so you don't do that again, cause next time you could possibly hydrolock the motor. better to be safe than sorry right. peace
