the D-Series won't mate with the B-Series. if you want the B-Series, you have to have the B-Series block, head, tranny, correct motor mounts and all other required electronic accesories (i.e. wiring harness, ECU, distributor, etc.) all D-Series parts are pretty much interchangeable between all the D motors. the same goes for the B-Series family, you can interchange parts between B motors. but you cannot put a D-Series head on a B20 block, or vise-versa. now, if you were asking if you could swap the whole B20 w/ B-Series tranny into your car, then yes that is definitely possible and has been done several times. contact hasport and see if they can help you out in deciding. they know everything there is to know about Honda motor swaps, and then some

King, do you know what a longblock is? Do you know what motor you have now?
A VERY useful idea is to look through the tech faq's, tech info, and newbie tech forums on this very site... you might get a good idea of what's going on after that... and here, I found an FAQ that accurately answers your question! http://forums.civicland.com/honda-ac...y-d-block.html

How it will work...
Engine swap mounts or the correct OEM mounts Rewiring stuff in the engine bay and to the ECU depending on what D15 and chassis you have now Reworking intake New header / exhaust manifold Tune tune tune (yes, even on a stock engine) |
