My 90 Civic 4dr developed a loud creaking/grinding type noise during low speed cornering. Happens only during sharp slow turns like when you are making a turn at a stop sign. Initially it sounded like it was coming from the right front and only happened during left turns when that side is under load. Now it happens when turning in either direction and may be coming from the left also. It sounds like a bad bushing. Anyway everything seems to look ok and I don't see anything obvious. The front struts were replaced recently which didn't do anything as far as the noise goes. CV jouints seem ok. Any input would be appreciated. TIA

If it's when you are cutting the wheel and going around corners then my guess would be to replace the axles as your CV joints are probably bad.....Is it like a clicking sound when you corner?

CV SHAFTS!!!

You might as well replace them both while your at it.

$100.00 per side

Easy to do (if you have access to tools)

otherwiae: 2 hours labor at a shop.

Good luck.

yeah, my card did that and it turned out to be the rotor guard touching the rotor ever so slightly.
