So it all starts at about 10am yesterday I start my car up and drive it into the garage thinkin it's cold it'll be easier to clean out the trash when I wake up later if it's in the garage! Well I wake up about 6 and go clean the car out and I get in to start her up and let her warm up before I drive my ass the 45 minute haul to Louisville and she won't start! So I'm an asshole and think I'll pop the clutch and drive her to my friends where I ave a better selection of tools and MUCH better lighting! So I try she starts and dies as soon as I quit pumpin gas to her! Nope that didn't work and now my car is in the middle of the street! So now I push my poor baby onto the curb grab a flashlight and some tools and I think well it sounds similar to when the control module went out! But hey instead of just checking to see if it's firing what do I do ... I go ahead and take the distrbutor apart pul the ignition coil and the control module and go to AUto zone only to find out they are fine! Now here comes the question I know the starter is trying to start the car cos I can hear it and I know she's getting gas! The cap and rotor were a little dirty but they looked fine other than that. So just to give me an idea or a heartattack what the hell else could this be?? I've not had a single prob starting the car at all though I did notice over the last week when she idles the lights kinda dim!
Thanks in advance! |

Take Roach's mouth off from the exhaust pipe . . the car can't breath and niether can he!
![]() Steph, did you check the plugs? Just curious. Mine used to foul out pretty easily and do the same thing. You should also check some of your fuses just as a time saver . . in case that is it. My ecu fuse was blown once and it took me hours of wasted work before I noticed that it was the only thing wrong. The alternator could be on it's way out causing a power loss to the starter as well . . It could be a bunch of little things, you just need to eliminate a few. Good luck girlie! ![]() |
