How difficult is it to add a vtec head to B18B? Same as a mini-me swap for d16y7?...

Seems the B20 is the swap of choice around here.* What's so special about it (non-vtec right?)?* I am assuming it's a heavier motor than a B18C with 30-40 less ponies.
It's actually the lightest of the B series blocks... it's larger, and it's got tons more torque. Tons of potential.

So you think the B20 is the best bang for the buck? Price seem pretty good for the B20. Can you add a Vtec head later? Are saying the B20 engine is lighter than even a b18? Man there's lots of crap to think about!

The B20 is also great for boost, and can also be mated to a VTEC head like the LS block.

Got any idea how much a full swap would run?

Generally the b18b should go pretty cheap( I think smoothIImmports aka Mike got his for something like 1200 beans).

The problem would be finding one in good condition, since this is a popular swap nowdays.

Does anyone know if the F20B for the Accord Euro-R will fit in the Civic? Is this a difficult swap?

Thanks

Call up Stage 2 Performance they can get you a good deal on a swap. They do a lot of B20s and can get pretty much anything you need. 732-821-7772 is their phone number.
