changed the plugs to Bosche "no gaps", and the malfunction light came on.. Undid the battery for a while, and all now seems OK. Is this normal? Thanks...

Yes. Every once in a while when your doing work on the ignition it will kick out a code. As long as you reset the ECU (by disconnecting the batt.) And the light didn't come back on everything is fine.

FYI... you should be using NGK plugs

working for an auto parts store (which shall remain nameless) ..I searched for almost an hour..and found the Ac-Delco plug for My car...I've used them in everything I've ever owned, I'll never use another brand.

i forgot ngks are kinda hard to come by at your run of the mill parts store. but densos are the same thing.

as for why the other plugs respond porely my only explanation is 'you wouldnt put ngk/denso in a domestic motor'

im not real sure. its one of those things you just accept to be fact.

NGK is 95% of the time standard asain Imported car. (Yes I know your hoonda was made in ohio). This is also true with performace car, 300zx, Skyline, all honda/acura ect ect....
