well if these parts sustained damage, take it to your own shop not the insurance's and tell them your gonna find the parts you want and they will credit you for them.

for example. $500 deductable....$500 dollars he doesnt spend on getting parts for your car is $500 in his pocket for the deductable, and you take that $500 and buy the parts...
