Can you put a 96-00 Honda Civic Ex Gauge Cluster w/ Tach not Type R into a 98 civic DX and match everything up easy? or does it not fit correct? Im guessing you would have to run a rpm wire or somethign for that gauge, but would everything else that the stock DX cluster line up with the stuff for the EX?

It will plug right in. The wiring for the tachometer is in your dash.

No, you shouldn't need to run any new wires. Every DX I've played in has the tachometer harness in the dash already- you just have to plug it in. It doesn't make much sense for Honda to make two separate harnesses just because one car doesn't come with a tach... it's much cheaper to just wire all the cars up the same way from the beginning and just put different parts into them.

Yeah- you just remove the odometer from the original cluster and transfer it over to the new one. Don't try to modify the mileage. If you can't get just the odometer section out, swap over the entire speedometer section along with the odo.

Yeah, I had to get a new speedometer head, b/c my speedometer was all messed up, so I couldn't swap the odometer... now, it reads 130k, but i actually only have 93k on it. But yeah, if it's good, you can just swap it in, like calesta said.
