i'll do some just to pique your interests...and the Civic Ferio is what the Civic Sedan is called in Japan...of course there are different trim models like we have here in the U.S. The U.S. has EX, DX, VX, LX, etc...in Japan it is Vi, VTi, Vi-RS, SiR, Mi, etc. however, for the 2006 model civic, the Ferio name has been dropped as the civic is only offered in a four door for the 06 model (in Japan). so, in conclusion, it's not a stupid question to ask, because you honestly didn't know what it was, but now you do.(however, i think you were just trying to get me to do my job, damn you whycrx, lmao=P) honestly, i only know what a Ferio is because i used to live in Japan..before i lived there I didn't even know what a skyline was, and i ended up with my first Honda..a 1995 EG8 Civic Ferio. See, you really do learn something new everyday

as far as other car names that are changed from Japan to U.S.
Lexus IS300 = Toyota Altezza
Acura RSX = Honda Integra
Lexus SC300/SC400 = Toyota Soarer
Infiniti G35 = Nissan Skyline GT
Chevy Cavalier = Toyota Cavalier
Acura RL (the new AWD model) = Honda Legend
Nissan 240SX coupe (KA24DE truck motor, NA) = Nissan Silvia (and it goes thru each year starting w/ S12 up to S15...comes w/ SR20DE/SR20DET motor)
Nissan 240SX hatchback = Nissan 180SX RPS13
Acura TSX = Honda Accord Euro-R
Mitsubishi 3000GT = Mitsubishi GTO
Nissan 350Z = Nissan Fairlady Z
Mazda 6 = Mazda Atenza
Toyota Yaris = Toyota Vitz
Toyota Echo = Toyota Platz
Scion xB = Toyota bB
Scion xA = Toyota ist
the Scion Tc doesn't exist in Japan as far as I know
Mitsubishi Lancer (non-evo) = Mitsubishi Cedia
Toyota Forerunner = Toyota Hilux Surf
Acura EL (Acura's cousin to the civic) = Honda Domani
Lexus GS300/GS400 = Toyota Aristo
Lexus LS 400 = Toyota Crown
Lexus ES 300 = Toyota Windom

that's jus a few off the top of my head...if i can remember any more i'll add them to the list.

Basically what you need to know is that in Japan, all of the Luxury import names we have don't exist there...over there they keep things simple...there is no acura, lexus, infiniti...it is straight Honda, Toyota, and Nissan...and there are other lesser known (to america at least) car companies like Daihatsu and a few others. peace.

i knew it lol yah, a lot of people don't know what a ferio is...i guess it's something you learn over time, as you get more into the "Japanese car culture" Most people in my town just think it's some special version of a civic LX sedan when they my car, cause they don't really know what a Ferio is. The thing that first freaked me out when I first got to Japan was when I saw a Toyota Cavalier. That was the wierdest thing to me...it was 100% Chevy Cavalier in all it's crappiness, yet it has a Toyota Badge on it in Japan. One thing I learned tho is that the Japanese really like American Made cars...they'd spend as much on a USDM vehicle, as we would on a JDM vehicle just to have something that no one else has. I think you could make a killing selling Chevy's in Japan.
