Question what exhaust?

I have a honda civic 96 4dr and about to buy a new exhaust. The thing is im not sure what to look for, my car has nuffing done to the engine yet and my first power boosting is installation of exhaust. I just found great deal on ebay for coplete exhaust for around 500 bux. It comes complete from headers to exhaust. I was told that headers are 2.5" then goes into 3" and the tip of muffler is 4.5" which is massive and im not the biggest lover of big mufflers but the price is good. The thing is it sound like a turbp exhaust and im not sure if it wouldnt be too big for my car and if i wouldnt loose a back pressure, and what about the sound from 4.5" with a silencer, does that sound good? Im ok with mechanics but im wonderin if it ok installin exhaust ur self or does it need to be done by proffesional, is there anythin to it other then just fitting it on? please help fast.

Default Re: what exhaust?

Just an FYI for you and anyone out there also wondering about this, ebay non-brand name stuff is garbage. If you've never heard of the brand and the deal seems too good, it probably is. If you don't have the money for a decent exhaust system, then go for it but I wouldn't expect good craftsmanship.

If your looking for a more toned down exhaust that gives power, I got an Apexi WSII exhaust for $412 shipped. It's a high quality, sport exhaust, as opposed to an N1 or glasspacks. It's quieter, but gives a nice tone. I've heard Greddy SP2 is good also.
