I have a 99 HX that won't start. When the key was turned nothing happened at all except a clicking from the starter so I replaced the battery and that did nothing. I thought it was the starter so I checked by wiring it directly to the battery and she started right up. So it is not the starter.
So is this the ignition relay? And if so where do i find it so that I can replace it? |

The Civic service manual says that, if the starter functions after direct wiring to the battery, then the problem lies with either the ignition switch, the starter cut relay, the clutch interlock switch, the A/T gear position switch, or an open wire between the ignition switch and starter (see attached picture 1).
Attached picture 2 shows locations for these parts. |
