I have been experiencing a bit of a problem with my steering. I had some tracking problems and some bump steer problems. I took my car to get an alignment and to get my wheels rotated when I was told that my Rack and Pinion was going out. I got a quote of over $700.00 to have it replaced.

I found a great place to purchase steering products. I have been calling all my contacts in the automotive industry and surfing the web to get answers. what I found was that there really isn't to much offered as far as performance rack and pinion steering for my 97 4 door civic LX unless you do some customizing, this is due to the zero tolerance that they are typically built with.

I called some local automotive parts suppliers and most of them were in the price range of $285.00 a $200.00 core charge and a 1 year warranty. I found from the Power Steering Pros in San Diego California that I could buy my Rack and Pinion on the internet for $215.00 a $100.00 core charge and a 3 year warranty.

I hope this link is helpful to anyone needing assistance with this. the price and warranty was appealing to me.
