Hey I am the owner of a 2000 Honda Civic DX. My civic (not by choice) is unfortunatly... automatic. But on to the goal here, for my civic I was hoping on installing a B18C (Type R) bhp 210, out of a 2001 Honda Integra. I know at the very least I'm going to need a new clutch, gear box, and a LSD transmission. Please list any other items I will need to preform this swap, an estimate of the project's total cost, and advice on where I can aquire any of the needed parts. Thanks.

there are many sites that offer all inclusive swaps. Depending on which ones you trust the prices vary. PasswordJDM.com has just about every engine swap you could think of and provides the components to convert you civic for a specific engine like motor mounts axles etc. The engine you are talking about is one of the pricey ones coming in at an average of 4500 with just engine and tranny since they are in high demand they are also somewhat hard to come by.

I would go with an OBD 2 B18c (gsr). I know your hyped about the type-r because of its high demand, who isn't. We would all love one if they were the same price as a gsr motor, but the extra cost for the minimal hp isn't good at all, especially when you compare the two options side by side. (GSR w/turbo=280+ hp @ cost of $4500, Type-r=210 hp @ $4500) You can find them for 3k or less with an LSD tranny. I just bought a new ACT 12lb flywheel and ACT 6-puck for about $500 on eBay. When you buy the motor, ask them to throw in the stock shiftlinkage, or buy one for about $100 from someone. Short shifter is $20-100. Axles cost about $200 for a decent pair. You can buy the mounts, water pump, belts, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor for a few hundred more if you shop around. So, whatever all that adds up to be. Add a few hundred more for fluff money.

also H22's are good engines, heavier but more displacement means more possibilities. and you can get 1 for around 2500 w/ tranny shipped. you will need some modifications (not quite a direct swap) but a 2.2 vs a 1.8? for 2k less? sounds like a deal to me
