B16B or B18C-R?

Hey I've been looking around and I was wondering two things. If I own a 2000 DX (hatchback) and needed everythign for a engine swap and a automatic to manual transmission conversion where could I find all the parts needed for either of these engines? Also which would be a better call, I'm still a kid so for my money which one will end up a better engine for less bank? The B18C-R is a higher price but starts off 40hp stronger than the B16B which is at 170hp.
