Ok. i have a 99 civic ex with 290,000miles. i thought about swaping my d16y8 out to a b16a2 but then i got to thinking that a b18c would give me alot more power for a little more price. the only thing i dnt no is how hard it would be to swap. my cars already a 5spd so i dnt have to wry bout swaping out anything in the dash. any sugegestions are greatly apprecitaed.

It's a drop in swap, and easy to do. Aside from the engine and transmission though, be sure to get the axles and shift linkage. There are so many millions of threads you'll find on any google search about this, and plenty are going to be step by step even with pictures.
The B18C is going to have a little more torque and slightly more power. It's been years since I've looked at the prices of a complete motor setup, so I don't know what the going rates are. When I did my first swap back in 2000, the B16 and B18 were $1500 apart. For that much difference, the B18C's minimal gain didn't appeal to me. But now with the K's being the big deal, you can probably get any B series for a similar price.
