Ok.. heres a plan i thought up for a speaker configuration... (in a 6th gen coupe)
2 3 way 6x9's in the rear deck... a set of 2 (maybe 3) way 6.5's in the front doors (ie.. 1 in each door) all powered by a JL 300/4... Then, a set of kick panels in the front (obviously) with a 5.25 mid bass and a 1 inch tweeter... powered by a JL 300/2. Would you say thats too much in the front? The back im not too concerned about..... seeing as how no one will ever really be back there.. But its the front. I dont want it to completely drowned out the rear.. making the music sound like its all coming front in front of you. Should i just skip the speakers in the doors altogether, and use just the kick panels? BTW, all speakers will be JL Audio. Opinions?..... |

I've always been told that if you are going for clear crisp sound, you'll want to go for simplicity. The LESS the better.
I'm not so sure if it's true because I'm like you . . . go for overkill or go home. I think your setup should sound great. I'm just not one for the kick pannell setups. They are in the way imo . . My size 12 wouldn't do them any justice after a while, lol good luck with this one! ![]() |

I think it would sound good. Have you thought about putting both sets of front speakers on the four channel amp and using the two channel amp for the 6x9's.
