get rid of your alternator!

If that dosn't work, try re-grounding or in-lining a noise filter?!

Almost definitely the ground, or any wiring around the amp. check them good. I've had that same prob. it does that if the ground is not connecting properly.

You might try getting some better shielded and grounded signal cables too. I have a set of Monster Cables with a grounded shield- and I know it works because when the ground isn't hooked up I get a lot of engine whine. When it's connected, I get nothing but clean sound.

i think it is because of the proximity of the combined A/V/Power cable that runs to the monitor. i'm getting some vertical interference too. i'm not sure what to do.

Well, a grounded shield around your signal cable would probably help to clean that up.

i'm not going to worry about it unless it makes the same sound going to my aux. input on my HU so that's a few weeks down the road. i'll let you know if it works.

You didn't run your power and A/V cords together did you?

the A/V cable is integrated, i don't have a choice. like i said, i'm talking about the speaker that is built into my LCD monitor. that's why i think i won't have to worry about it when i hook it up to the aux inputs on my HU.

You didn't run both the power and RCA cords down the same side of the car? Like both on the passenger side? If so that could be the cause right there. You want to run RCA on one side and the power on the other. So if thats the case go by more power wire to run in on the other side of the car then the RCAs. If you have already done that, check the ground wire at your amps. Ground wire should be under 18" long...and the shorter the better.
