This should be pretty simple.Do you have the wiring harness for the Alpine and the a harness for the civic.I guess i need more info and backround?Maybe i am just an idiot, but i don't understand what the prob is.If you have both harnesses, just math up the colors of the wires.Remote is usually blue, power is red, black is ground and yellow is accessory wire.

First off, excellent choice in a head unit. You will just wire up the harness wire to wire. The remote wire will only need to be wired up if you have an aftermarket amp, but doesn't need wired to the harness. The constant power (yellow) will need to be run to the battery with 12 or 10 ga. wire. Ground (black) should be done to the chassis. I usually just use the 10mm bolt in the center behind the ashtray.

CivicHB - ok more info, well i decided to look in the alpine manuel and figured out that i dont connnect the remote power and the audio intrep. to the wire harness. and I sodered the rest of it all together and now its ready to go.

Toyz-B-Us - Thanks, i going to love this HU, it was a gift from my girlfriend . The colors will work well with my gauges and interior.

But i still have one prob, where do i connect the 12 or 10 ga. wire for the power too? And how should i connect it, splice it or cut a section off and wrap it or sodler all 3 pionts together? on the stereos harness it say to connect to the fuse box or battery, which one is best?

ok anyone here with some real handson experience. the adapter wiring for the power is too thin to handle the power the alpine needs, so what should i do. I just need to know what wire is used.

I did a headunit, amp, sub install last week so I hav soem hands on experience. OK RST, if your question is about the amp wires. Run the 12 guage wire straight to the battery from the amp. Make sure this wire is fused with an in-line fuse (30 amps). The ground wire just needs to be attached somewhere on the body close to the amp. The remote wire needs to be attached to the ACC., ignition wire or the power antenna (if so equipped) If you hav any more questions, PM me. I hope this helps.

nm i got it working.

but the power line for the head unit has a inline fuse box with 20 amp. and the power from the harness is only 15 amps. So the instructions says to hook it up like an amp.
