OK i wanna put a 99-00 Civic Cd player in my GF's 97 Civic.Wondering if the harnesses are the same and will i still be able to use the factory cd changer witf it?

Basically getting rid of this one...97 civic radio

my brother took the stock raio I had on my 96 sedan and put it on the ol' 1991 hatchback, Supposedly it was no ttrouble other than the physical aspect of the radios...its not exactly what you are asking but If there was no apparent changes between a 91 hatch and a 96 sedan then I wouldn't think there would be any changes between the same generation cars as far as the wiring goes IMO.

So my guess is that it should be a pretty much straight shot, Ill ask him later and let you know..he knows about this type of stuff a bit more tha I do.

You will need to buy a male harness for the radio (BHO-1721) and a female harness for the vehicle (BHA-1720) to make it work. BTW, the part numbers I gave are for Best Kits harnesses. If you go with metra stuff, you will need a 71-1721 and a 70-1720 if I remember right, but it has been a while since I have dealt with Metra.
