Hey Everyone,

I have an alpine headunit that is xm-ready, i presume i need to purchase an antenna and xm tuner.. any recommendations on brands? Also what should i expect to pay for the equipment? Thanks.

Well if you have an Alpine radio you need to buy Alpine's XM box. Antenna wise I think that Alpine makes one at this point, I just use a Trek one. The Antenna is up to you what ever you think looks best I have heard any bad things between the different antennas.

Rough guess on prices:
XM Box - $250
Antenna - $50 to $100

You can pick up a tuner for about $199 about now, at least that is what we sell them for at work. You can use a terk XMMicro which is a super small antenna for $29 which requires a $15 splitter since the tuner takes a 2 wire input and most xm antennas are now 1 wire.
