So I Blew Out All My Speakers

Well since i got the new alpine reciver.. all the stock speakers in the civic are now dead.. the only thing plays right now are the tweeters.. Front and rear are goneee...

Next up... Friday night im going to get some Infinity Speakers and get em installed..

Yeah i was beating on em pretty bad.. it really didnt sound too distorted tho.. one minute and the next minute it just cut out..

The two fronts been blown tho i just didnt realize!

At least i have my bass

My sony did the same thing to my stock speakers. One of the tinsel leads on my rear speakers was severed. Way to go Acoustic Research!!!!


By the way I'm a big fan of Infinity but can't afford them right now. Go with the Kappa Perfects all around!!!

of course ive gotta say JL Audio. I absolutely loved them.

Sounds like my friends car. Has the stock 92 honda speakers all around.. and 2 12"inchers in the back. cant hear shit but bass. obnoxious as all hell when he really cranks it up.

any distortion is too much

i blew a couple harmon kardon speakers in my drivers side door a few weeks back. the replacement should be in on friday, nice to have a warranty.

Okay don't take this the wrong way. I don't know if you know what you are listening for when I say distortion. A lot the time if you listen at a high volume the amp will start clipping which hurts it's output and causes distortion.

Sorry I'm not going to go into what Clipping is there that can be for other thread.

But anyway when I was about 15 to 20 feet away from your car I could hear distortion in the speakers. So thats guess for what got them.

I'd go with MB Quartz 3-ways in the front and 2-ways in the back as well as the MB components, best of the best man.
