Ok heres the deal. I'm driving back up to the pocono's this in two hours and put my old Rockford punchpower 10" DVC sub in the car. I Sold my rockford amp so i'm using this old POS no name that i had sitting around in my closet. It's a 4 channel amp. So heres whats going on. If i run the amp off channels 1 / 2 seperate it woorks ok but sounds like shit. It i bridge 1/2 into the on coil and 3/4 inot the other coil it sound really good. But the protecion light keeps coming on and it's pissing me off. Anyone know whats going on????

ha haa. I'm in my opffice and i think i know what the probelm it. I took the RCA jack coming from the back of my head unit and put Y-concetors on then to make 4 rca jack, Then i ran a left and right into channels 1/2 and a left and right into channels 3/4. I think this is sending mixxed signals to the coils and throwing the pertection. So i'm going ot go out side right now and smoke a sig and put bothe left RCA jacks into channels 1/2 and bothe rights into 3/4 this way each coil is only getting one signal.

Anyone think this will work???

tryin to make a ghetto amp work will sound nothing else but ghetto. Protection means that you are overheating your amp. Its prolly not powerful enough OR you are crossing the wires wrong somehow.

That sounds about right to me. Although if your amp automatically goes to mono when bridged than that won't help.
