What is the best amp to get for REAL power? That can give some deep bass without fading?
Right now I have a SoundStream (the older version) but it is 4 channel, so I am going to use that to run my Front/Rear speakers in the car. |

yes, one sub can and will sound fine, as long as your not trying to put too much power threw it... I dont understand why people need to have like 3 12"s in there car.. One is enough for me.

Well just a second here. When you ask if I single sub can sound good...the answer is always yes. But what if you sound goals out of the system you are trying to put together? I mean if you want something that people are going to heard you coming from a couple miles a way I single sub ain't going to cut it. As far as sound as long as you get good stuff a single sub can sound really good.
Mono amp can sound good with a single sub just remember that you want to buy a 4ohm sub or if you go with a JL sub a 2 ohm sub to really drive that mono amp. You just be fine. |

yeah.. one sub can sound nice.. but that usually good for like accenting your music. nothing heavy. if you dontl like the rattling and thumping.. one will be good. itll pronounce the bass drum a little or the bass guitar (pulling shit out of my ass.. i have no idea what kind of music you like)
but if you like to shake the windows and pavement.. youll deff need more. i myself love bass. i need atleast 2 subs. |

In my eclipse I had some nice alpine speakers and a 4 channel 600 watt amp. I had so much bass that every one thought I had subs. I personally think that is the best way to go.

I don't usually listen to rap music at all in my car. Maybe once and awhile. So its mostly rock and acoustic stuff.
Rage / Green Day / along that line. I have 2 - Polk Audio 10" subs now, and I would love to keep the same sound they give. They are old and on the one the rubber is ripping around the cone. |
