a W7 is as about as heavy as you can get. The box wieghs a fucking ton. Regardless if its one sub or not its wieght is equivalent to two boxes.

yeah i was looking at some of the stats i think im going down to W6 and looking into the lightweight clarions but it might sound like shit.. id rather not take the chance but ill check em out none the less... the w6 sounds like a sure shot

Personally i'd get a kicker Solobaric L7 in a bandpass box and call it a day. there more bass than you'll ever need really.

You'll be happy with the W6 if you decide to get one. You can run a super small sealed box too- just make sure the wood is thick enough to handle the output and that your box is braced properly.

The L7 in a bandpass box will sound really loose- plus badpass boxes are just large and heavy. A W6 in a small sealed box will be lighter, sound better and have quite a bit more range, provided you have the power to push it.

JL 500/1 for an amp and for a sub, get a W6v2 12" in an HO box. Both pieces will sell for $1150. You should also invest in a four channel amp for your front and rear speakers. JL has the e4300 for $299 which would do a decent job for what you currently have.
