Ok so i took my car in about a month ago and when i got it back from the shop my subs didnt work anymore.

I pulled the HU out to check the wireing, its alright. Re conntected all the wires to the amp. Its getting power, chargeing and going into a powered mode. But there isnt any signal going to the subs.

When i connect the red and black input to the amp i can hear the subs pop a little just enough to know they are getting power but thats all.

I have no clue what it could be. I was thinking that maybe 1 of the input wires was fried but if it poped it should work....

What ya guys think?

Still could be a lot of things.... Double check your RCA cables. If the amp is getting power you don't have to worry about any fuses being blown. May check to see if any setting got changed on you head unit...a the sub could have just blown or the wiring in-side the box could have came loose.

I would try hooking the amp up to another speaker to narrow it down to the amp. After that I would try switching out the amp. If that doesn't work I would switch out the RCA plugs. See where I'm going with this?

They probably unplugged your battery though. One of my old decks if the setting were reset the sub pre outs were turned off. Look to see if there is an on/off setting for sub preouts.

check your ground wire and make sure its ground good. if its weak it will still show you its geting power but it will be a little bit dimer and will jus pop your subs when you first turn it on. also they might of fucked up one of your pre outs so if you have more then one set on your head unit try that.

Sub Pre outs... ok ill check this, not 100% sure what ya mean but are you talking part of the programming in the HU or something like a switch on the back?

If its the programming i have adjusted it back so the Subs are getting a signal from the HU. Ill take a look though when i get home.

Thanks again.

preouts = RCA jacks. Some decks have them specifically for the subs with a built in crossover. If thats the case it could have an on/off switch.
