Hi
i just got a civic , so i have no big $ right now but my old P.O.S was a 96 Dodge neon . i have now a 93 Civic HB. i remeber i kept the rear 6x9s (stock) from my neon cuz i changed them to pioneer. just wondering if its worth putting the stock neon 6x9s in the civic. just wondering if itll give me a TINY bit better sound? |

my civic has great sound (6th gen) i think that if you take the time to tune everything right(helps to have an aftermarket head unit) the sound is just fine. but i doubt that stock neon speakers will be better...prob worse.
BTW nice choice in car ive been thinking of getting a 5th gen hb

i got a sony xplod...52X4 and it plays atracs and mp3s and all sort of stuff..i like it alot. 130 bucks...why would i spend more? yeah i dont know if you can or what to do to boost antenna signal but mine sucks to cause we just got a regular rod instead of the new shit they put in rear windows.

this MAY be a n00b question but if the antenna is metal, then why not use the car's body as the antenna? of would it be bad cuz of all the grounds on the frame to begin with?

well when i was having problems with my radio reception, i was told if you cannot get AM radio stations at all (since they are more sensitive than FM stations) then you need to change your antenna all together which i did and has been fine ever since.

Doesn't help you much... BUT... I just finished purchasing the last of my ICE setup.
I've had no problem with anything Kenwood, Ever... so I went all out. Deck/Changer: Kenwood KDC-3025 CD Receiver Kenwood KDC-C669 6-disc CD Changer Mids/Highs: Kenwood KFC-1669S 6-1/2" 2-way rear deck Speakers Kenwood KFC-P605ie 6-1/2" Component System, includes 3/4" tweeters. Bass: Audiobahn AW1000Q 10" 600w Dual 4-ohm Voice Coil Component Sub SPL Series II 400w single channel Amplifier Ok, so I splurged into an Audiobahn sub, and got a great deal on my SPL amp (65 bucks). I'm anxiously awaiting my KFC series speakers/tweeters for installation. ![]() |

you'd have to put your 6x9's in a box as wont fit in a stock civic hole. most civics take a 6 1/2 all the way around stock. id just save up and get a nice set of components in the front, and some good coaxes in the back would b pretty decent
