Monitor Would Go From Color To Black And White

Can you give me reasons or support as to why my TFT-LCD monitor would go from color to black and white? I have them mounted properly, which is connected to DVD/ TV Tuner. It seems that they only go black and white when watching DVD,VCD; or in the start the DVD PLAYER.

When you switch back to TV tuner the color returns. Could it be the RCA cables I have them hooked up too,Does the DVD need a stronger signal than TV tuner and the RCA cables don't provide strong enough signal for DVD? Please help if possible.

it's not gonna be the RCA cable, since that format doesn't split up color and contrast... all video is on 1 wire, so it's all or nothing. are you sure they're RCA plugs? they may be component video, which carries the color stream seperated into red blue and green values... if you muck those up, it sometimes goes b&w.

your dvd/vcd player probably is the problem, It can't give sufficient signal to your LCD? the cause probably is the RCA or maybe the player itself.
