I have a Viper 550ESP installed in my car. I've had it for 5 years without a problem. A couple months ago I was involved in a front end collision which destroyed the Viper siren. My insurance company put on a generic siren which was definitely louder. Five weeks after I get my car back with the generic siren working just fine, problems started happening.
My siren will go off everytime the headlights are on. It's not as loud as if the siren was tripped, but still noticeable. When I arm or disarm my car, my headlights blink with the brain. Everytime my headlights blink, you hear the siren's faint yelp. Does anyone know why this is happening? All wiring looks fine and nothing is shorting out. I bought a brand new Viper 550ESP kit and replaced the generic siren with the original siren and still the same result. *On a side note: I've had a lot of subwoofer feedback recently as well and when I have feedback, I touch my headunit (all while driving) with my finger and the feedback goes away. Could this be linked to the siren issue? |
