After having both i prefer Two 10s now all the way.... lighter and more responsive.. but bass with two 12s seems to overpower the songs and shake the living hell outta ur car. Like i said in my other thread... i listen to alot of trance and with two 10s it worked wonders for the songs.

when it comes to clarity i'd rather have two 10's also.
im also curious as to how good 2 8's would sound. mainly because im thinking of getting a dual 8" enclosure that'll fit under the rear seat of my 98 F150 supercab i just bought. |

I can't comment on twelves, because I've only been in a car with 12s once. However I've had an MTX 300w 10" (running a dual channel 300w max MTX amp) and an Audiobahn 10" DVC 600w (running a single channel 400w SPL Series II amp) and these two subs put out more bass than I can stand on bass heavy songs.
If I can get a hold of my buddy I was thinking about getting a 500-600w single channel amp to upgrade to. |

i also like 10's better then 12's. I'm currenlty running 1 10"DVC rockford punch power. off of a 600watt mono rockford amp. Good enough for me and only about 20 lbs total

Yeah the weight is something you definately have to think about with these setups... soon as you put a heavy box in theres like a major difference in performance...
