Where is the most stealth place to mount a dvd player in a civic, but still have access to it from the driver's seat?...

Depending on the console you have. but I think it only applies to 96-200 as those are the only ones with that pocket-thingy under the armrest that can fit a dvd player IMO.

good suggestion, anyone know if a din sized dvd player will fit in the 92-95 armrest console?

For lack of options and ease of istallation in my friend's 5th gen, we just mounted the dvd player under the passenger's seat facing rearward. The discs can be changed from the driver's seat fairly easily. The only problem we ran in to was the fact that we had to do some hammering on the bottom of the seat to fit the player.

As far as in the armrest, they are really small plus the fact that there is no depth due to the fact that the e-brake is right below the armrest.

He has a older tray style player, so it is taller than a din sized player. If you went with a din sized one, it should fit fine under the seat with no modifications.

Throw up some pics of the screeen once you get it, I am interested to see how it turns out.

the ir repeater is right below the deck on the right side. I just screwed the player down to the chassis with some self tapping screws to mount it.
