ok when i try to start my car it doesnt want to turn over like it will try but wont. So i tried push starting it but it still didnt want to turn over but the car sound like it was running. motor will make the exaust sound like it was driveing but when we stoped pushing the car it would stop and the downpipeing will not make anymore noise anyone know what could be wrong? i am guessing there is no ingitition or fuel pump cause when i tried to start it and listen where the gas tank is there is not air following. need help...

hmm tough one.. any cel's first off.. second have you actually checked if you are getting fuel.. have you tried jumping it? did it just start or was it after a swap or something..

we tried jump starting the car but when we tried to start the car it did not turn over it will try to start but wont. then we tried pushing the car the car just sounded like it was running like my exaust sounded like i was driving the car but when i turned the key nothing happen. like it didnt start it up like it was already started or something.

So, what you are saying is that it will crank but not start. If you pull start it, it will sputter, but not run. It sounds like a problem with ignition and you have a weak spark. Just remember that it only takes three things for an engine to run (air, fuel and spark) The air thing is usually never a problem (unless if there is a shop rag in the throttle body) The fuel thing can be a problem, but I would check the spark first.

oh you guys are the shinz nittz yea i know a guy that told me how to check it with a phillips and the spark plug grounded but i didnt see to fire when we tried to start it

then you obviously have an ignition problem. Good luck finding the wiring problem.

I would replace the cap and rotor button along w/ the wires and plugs if old..also when you turn the key to the "ON" Position can you hear the fuel pump purge? if not then that could have gone bad..

yea i dont hear crap from my fuel tank when i listen to it when we tried starting it. also i done this to my civic but i am going to check if my fuel pump is alrite your site looks badass i wish i sould aftermarket parts also i proably take one of those greddy turbo kits off your hands when i save up some real cash also my civic isnt doing soo good. i am going to buy a evo like my 16 year old cousin or just a sti hehhe yea right
