Can anyone help me?
I will soon be putting a turbo kit on my sol with a b16a2, the kit comes with all pipes, intercooler, garrett t3/4 turbo, oilpan, bov's and all fittings. But thats all, will i be able to run this safely on a stock engine or will i have to get other bits FIRST like fmu, fuel pump, injectors etc before installing the kit?

Well first off your going to need a manifold. And your going to have to use some type of fuel management no matter how low of boost your going to run.

the common consensious is you can run roughly 5-9 lbs of boost on stock b series internals. IMO you should upgrade it while you have it out. we all know thats just not possible all the time, lord knows i had to rip apart a set of mounts to get in there and change them.

that being said, like mike said you need a mani, if your going to run stock safe boost you prob dont need new injectors, an upgraded fuel pump might not be a bad idea

Upgrading your fuel would be a good idea, because not enough fuel is what causes some detenations in turbo hondas. Plus if you wanted to you could build your motor and not have to worry about fuel upgraded at the same time. Turbo really isnt my cup of tea, im more of an all motor guy for hondas.

Well the number of miles doesn't really matter. IT's how those miles were racked up. I can show you turbos that like brand new that have over 80k on them. And i've seen turbos blow to bits that only had like 5 K on them.

Don't mean to step on your toes eric but the most misconcieved thing about turboing a car is it's not a matter of how much boost your motor can handle. It's how much whp. 9psi on a t28 will put down substantially less than 9psi on a sc61 or likewise. Alot of people don't say that. For the most part you should be able to put down around 275 safely. The general concesses is stay under 300whp on a stock motor and you'll be fine, no matter how many psi it takes (there is a point where you should stop because the air from the turbo will be heatsoaked ex. running 25psi on a t28 to achieve 325whp). Yes you should upgrade your injectors and add a fuel pump, and use some sort of management.

Also do a compression and leakdown test to make sure your motor is in shape to handle the added pressure it's going to see.

If you want to talk to me about it more, hit me up on AIM or Pm me here.

edit: sorry it's just a recently acquired pet peeve when people say this many psi is safe or w/e, no offense to you eric, just wanted to clear that up.
