I've gotta' problem. I want to get my civic repainted SO bad. The guy who had the civic before me didn't take care of the paint. Also, my last two years of parking in a cramped parking garage has give me tons of dings. I'm not even worried about getting the engine bay painted.
Anyways, it seems like people either pay $300 dollars or $3000 dollars for their paint job. I want a decent paint job for like $1000, does it exist? also, i'd like to hear our dallas guys suggestions for a good shop. |

Aaron, The paintjob on my last BH (in my sig) was done inside and out for less than $1,000.00. It turned out next to show quality. I say next to because we didn't bother buffing it when it was done. I just drove it and started turning heads, lol
Look around for all the supplies you'll need start to finish. Price around till' you've found were you can get everything the cheapest. Once you've got your supplies, all you'll need to do is contact a painter and agree on a "labor only" deal. My guy did it for FREE! All I had to do was show the car! I'm sure you can find someone who'll do something like that for you . . you've just got to look. l8r Sam - |

damn.. about to say it cost me 2k to paint my car, But before that i had about 2k in bodywork done
If you took them the car with all the body work done and had the car stripped and primed then i could see the work being <2k

I have a guy over here that paints and does body work to out cars. I'll post pics of a finished car in a couple weeks. He usually does older cars. LIke older vettes and older fords. But ever now and then i take him an import. Average price for him on a coupe is about $900 which is kind of cheap if you think about it. But there will be no runs or orange peel anywhere on your car. Let me know I can set up an appointment up with him to look at your car if you ever come down to houston. Waiting list for him is usually 2 weeks so if you decide to go through my guy you have to wait two weeks after talking to him before he can start on your car.

door jams, ding removals, and small body work. Meaning if there are dents in your car that are deeper then a few milimeters that will be more. Basically ding remove and doo jams. Are you chaning colors? You know that's going to be more if it is because he has to paint the bottom of the trunk lid, bottom of your hood. and I would SUGGEST you do your engine bay as well. Now 900 was the price given to a coupe just like yours but he used a stock color.
